Hennessey EcoBoost 435

Hennessey MaxBoost 435

Last week, Toby reviewed for us the 2010 Lincoln MKS with the EcoBoost and AWD, and we all agree that we loved this car. This week Hennessey Performance, out of Houston, Texas, has revealed their own incarnation of the 2010 MKS EcoBoost calling it their MaxBoost 435. What Hennessey has done here is tinker with the engine management software, added their own cat-back exhaust, dual cold air induction system, and a polished intercooler piping upgrade. All this results in, yeah you guessed it, 435 hp and 405 lb-ft of torque pushing this heavy luxury sedan from a standstill to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and takes only 13 seconds to hit 106 and cross a quarter mile mark. These upgrades make the MKS comparable in power to big shots like the BMW M5 and Maserati Quattroporte, but without suspension or braking upgrades you better be going in a strait line.

Thanks Hennessey, you always know how to make our favorite cars just that much better!

  1. Great find! Hennessey is pushing out a slew of fantastic new projects these days! This is just one example of how flexible the EcoBoost engine really is. I foresee a lot of tuner companies using it in the future.
