The 458 Italia is one of the newest exotic cars to come out of Ferrari, but it is also one of the most advanced and beautiful of late. It seems that there isn’t much you can do with the shape of a mid-engine car, but with all the competition facing Ferrari today, they knew they had to do something.
What they came up with is more beautiful and more advanced than the outgoing F430. The engine is a 4.5 litter V8 pushing 560 horsepower with a 9000 rpm redline. It features a direct fuel injection system which is a first for Ferrari in a mid engine setup. Compared to the F430’s 4.3 liter V8 pushing 483 horsepower, the 458 is a massive leap forward. So massive, in fact, that it can lap the Fiorano test track 2 seconds faster than the F430 Challenge, and is on par with the Enzo.
