Texas no longer requires inspection sticker

Starting next March 2015 Texas drivers will no longer be required to display an inspection sticker on their vehicles windshield. Vehicles will still have to get a routine inspection though.

As explained to the Texas Senate, Texans will no longer need separate stickers for the windshield. A single sticker will be sufficient proof of both. Drivers will be asked to have their inspection within 90-days of when their vehicle registration expires and show proof of that inspection to complete the registration process.

Texas officials say that the state will save about $2-million with the change, primarily in oversight and sticker cost. I say, way to go Texas!
