Ram Trucks at the 2014 State Fair of Texas

It’s our privilege to be able to attend the media preview day of the State Fair of Texas every year and we love bringing our readers as much information we can about what’s new and what’s cool. Well, it’s that time of the year once again! Here’s a rundown of what we saw and what you should check out. « back to list

Ram always has a great outdoor display highlighting their trucks and vans and this year was no different. Even though there’s not anything specifically new on display it’s still worth checking out for a few reasons. Ram is growing exponentially every year and Texas is a market where they’ve seen the most growth. Our review vehicle this week happens to be a Ram 1500 EcoDiesel, which you can read our full opinion on soon, which really is a vehicle worth checking out.

The big news from Ram is their collaboration with the Texas Rangers – not the baseball team but the guys synonymous with cowboy hats and six-shooters. In showing their commitment to Texas Ram CEO Bob Hegbloom presented a check for $100,000 to the Rangers at the State Fair of Texas to assist with the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum which is celebrating their bicentennial in 2023. This was a very cool move and proves that Ram and the whole Chrysler group is about more than just selling cars, they’re showing their support for local communities.
