THE 2017 MOTOGP RED BULL GRAND PRIX OF THE AMERICAS AND THE HORSEPOWER RODEO COME TO AUSTIN

THE 2017 MOTOGP RED BULL GRAND PRIX OF THE AMERICAS AND THE HORSEPOWER RODEO COME TO AUSTIN THIS WEEKEND, APRIL 21-23, 2017

MOTOGP
Marc Márquez has won the MotoGP Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas race at the CIrcuit of the Americas every year since the inaugural race in 2013. But this year, Márquez really has his work cut out for him as he searches for win number five here.

Márquez, (Honda), is currently in 9th place overall, with 13 points, while Maverick Viñales and Valentino Rossi (both aboard Yamahas) hold down the numbers one and two Championship points slots, with 50 and 36 points, respectively. (The race winner is awarded 25 points and Viñales won in both the season opener in Qatar and the second race in Argentina.)

Austin is the third MotoGP race on the 2017 calendar and the only MotoGP race to take place in the United States this year. Race fans from the U.S. and all over the world, hungry to see the kind of racing that great riders aboard great machines on a great track provides, have been arriving in Austin all week.

The action at the track started Friday morning with Moto3 and Moto2 practice, followed by MOTOGP practice, and MOTOAMERICA SUPERBIKE qualifying.

In addition to practice and qualifying sessions, there will be live music venues, Motorcycle stunt shows, autograph sessions on Saturday, individual bike brand corrals, and parties all weekend long before Sunday’s full day of races.

It’s shaping up to be a spectacular weekend at the Circuit of the Americas and we’ll be there for it all.
