Disgruntled Employee Hacked Austin Car Buyers:

Omar Ramos-Lopez, 20
Austin Police arrested a 20 year old male on charges of breach of computer security. Omar Ramos-Lopez was fired from a local car dealer in Austin, Texas, yet instead of using his skills to find new work he decided to hack the employer’s computer system. The Car dealer was bombarded with calls from 80 customers that complained about their car not starting or honking without cause. The electronic GPS units installed by the company are controlled through a computer system that Omar was able to gain access to allowing him to disrupt customers lives. He was also able to gain access to the accounting software, where he changed information and names of customers in the database.
By the time the Austin High-Tech Crimes Unit was able to catch Omar, he had deactivated 100 cars of the 2,300 cars on the street by this company. Omar now faces 120 days to two years in jail if convicted of the hacking charges laid before him.

Hennessey MaxBoost 435 w/video

Hennessey MaxBoost 435
Last week, Toby reviewed for us the 2010 Lincoln MKS with the EcoBoost and AWD, and we all agree that we loved this car. This week Hennessey Performance, out of Houston, Texas, has revealed their own incarnation of the 2010 MKS EcoBoost calling it their MaxBoost 435. What Hennessey has done here is tinker with the engine management software, added their own cat-back exhaust, dual cold air induction system, and a polished intercooler piping upgrade. All this results in, yeah you guessed it, 435 hp and 405 lb-ft of torque pushing this heavy luxury sedan from a standstill to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and takes only 13 seconds to hit 106 and cross a quarter mile mark. These upgrades make the MKS comparable in power to big shots like the BMW M5 and Maserati Quattroporte, but without suspension or braking upgrades you better be going in a strait line. › Continue reading

That’s right, Hennessey Performance has taken a Ford F150 Raptor and bolted a Whipple supercharger on the already stout 5.4 liter V8. This fearse Raptor now produces 501 HP and 520 lbs-ft of torque at 9.1 pounds of boost. They also added a K&N intake, stainless steel exhaust and headers, tuned the ECU, and upgraded fuel injectors. Now look for the VelociRaptor to hit 60 in a staggering 5.6 seconds. › Continue reading

Texas Tuner Torches Cover of Corvette Magazine
The March 2010 issue of Corvette Magazine will feature the Torch Red Hennessey ZR700, quoting “The ZR700 idles and drives like a standard ZR1 at sane speeds, but when I finally got the chance to roll into the throttle hard, the Corvette really came alive.”
Hennessey has taken the already spectacular ZR1 and gave it an extra kick in the backside giving the LS9 power plant some extra thrust. We are talking 705hp and 717 lb-ft torque, and that’s just the beginning. Hennessey is also making available a ZR750 package with, yep you guessed it 750hp! › Continue reading
