Day 7 2010 Shelby GT500

Day 7 2010 Shelby GT500

Day 7 with the 2010 Shelby GT500 was by far the most fun we had all week. We worked hard and tried to get lots of video and pictures of the car to show to you guys. As we talk about in the video, after tearing up the streets of Texas for a week in the GT500 we were never faced with an obstacle that the car couldn’t handle. Ford, SVT, and Shelby have made a great car with this one and we cant wait to check out the 2011 GT500 with the all aluminum block!

Till then, check out our video!

This post was mentioned on Twitter by txGarage: The Day 7 video of the 2010 GT500 is up! Go check it out! http://j.mp/bJfy39...

  • Nice if you found that the Shelby was a car that can easily be a daily driver as well as a track star. We live in a good time for cars when 500+ hp is attainable from the factory.

    • Thanks For the comment.
Yeah I still can’t wait to drive a CTS-V! Or the new CTS-V Coupe! I’d like to see how they do against the GT500.

    • Toby says:

Bruce, this car was the epitome of an everyday 500+ hp car. When just cruising, there wasn’t that annoying exhaust drone, the radio sounded great, and the interior was very very comfortable, especially compared to the Mustangs of the past.

But once you begin to build the boost, regardless of age, you are immediately transformed into an 18 year old kid again with that invincible feeling and the world is your playground. And if you play your cards right, they’ll all know you’re coming. In the straights and the corners, it’s equally as fun.

Drive it to the track, no trailer needed, then drive it home and you can have just as much fun/comfort both places!

  • GMAN says:

I must say, I am quite impressed with what you guys have done. Are you guys going to do any stories on “enthusiast built” cars or just new models?

    • yup we are working on it. I like getting the new cars but our real goal is to feature enthusiast built cars! kind of like someones Mustang I know…

    • Toby says:

Yeah, like Adam said, our ultimate goal for txGarage is everyday cars driven by everyday people, although we wouldn’t refuse a super car here and there. Most muscle cars are custom to the driver, so we wanna see everyones take on there cars. But when all is said and done, we’ll take anything fast!
