2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe

We have already done a full review of the CTS-V Wagon and I’ve been chomping at the bit to drive the Coupe. I do like the way the Wagon looks, and not because I think it’s a sleeper – because it’s not – but it just looks good. The Coupe on the other hand just looks that much better. I know there are many out there that would disagree, but if it was my money, I’d go for the Coupe in a heartbeat.

Inside the CTS-V Coupe is exactly the same as the Wagon. Surprisingly enough, driving the coupe felt exactly the same as driving the Wagon. You never really notice all the mass behind you in the Wagon until you look out the rearview. Continue reading →

We are going to do something a little different that you probably haven’t seen in many reviews. Most articles give you a bunch of facts and details leading you up to their conclusion at the end. We wanted to start this review with our conclusion. This car is simply amazing. In any form, the CTS-V is a great car and a great step forward for Cadillac and American cars, but the V-Wagon is where it’s at for us at txGarage.

2010 Ford F-150 Truck of Texas

The Texas Auto Writers Association gathered together last weekend for their annual truck event known as the Texas Truck Rodeo. This year it was held in San Antonio where the trucks and SUV’s would be put through the test at the Knibbe Ranch.
Every year, the Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA) names the Truck of Texas after this event and for the past six years that truck has been the Ford F-150. This year was no different with the new Ford F-150 taking the big prize yet again. For 2010, the F-150 didn’t just get a new look, it got an all around new package. The interior is a nice place to be whether you are roaring down a highway or driving through an open field. The powertrain has been tweaked giving the new F-150 a boost in fuel economy by as much as 12% over the prior year model. The title for Truck of the Year seems to be well deserved for Ford’s hard work on the F-150 year after year.
