It has been a long time since we have seen a real race series pitting iconic American muscle cars against each other. The Camaro vs Mustang in American racing is what helped spark the muscle car revaluation in the late 60′s. Seeing the classic dark blue Sunoco Chevy Camaro back to fight agains the Mustang in the Grand-Am KONI challenge brings us back to those iconic times.
We will get a chance to see these cars go head to head during the final round of the 2009 KONI Race at Virginia International Raceway. We don’t expect the Camaro to have a spectacular showing against the seasoned Mustangs but it should still be a blast to watch. If you tune in you will also get the pleasure of watching them battle with the new M3′s, Porsche’s, GTI’s, Miata’s, and a Subaru Legacy. It is a great and exciting racing series.

Corvette C6.R GT2 American Le Mans
I have been following the American Le Mans Series for a while now and love the excitement of the race. With four classes racing on the track at the same time and 12 hour to 24 hour endurance racing it’s loaded up with what car guys want to see. For the last year and this season the GT1 class has been mostly uncontested as the Corvette team in the C6.R has dominated in the American Le Mans. Right in time for GM to announce its financial trouble and looming bankruptcy the Corvette team was announcing that it was pulling out of the GT1 class to run in the GT2 class. When the team finished its last race, at Sebring as a GT1 car, there had been speculation if they would even enter back in as GT2. With all the news about GM pulling funding to racing programs and filling bankruptcy their speculation was well deserved.
Then the announcement came today, They are Back! The Corvette team has officially entered in the Mid-Ohio race as a GT2 class racing with more competition with the likes of Porsche, Aston, Panoz, Ford GT, and Ferrari. This does leave the GT1 class empty and brings the American Le Mans down to 3 classes racing, but most enthusiast welcome this change as there will be more competition and fun.

Everyday Car's I get to see
OK so first things first. I have never written a blog in my life. Never thought about it till now.
You know you’ve always talked to your friends about the sweet car you just saw on the road passing you or just sitting there not being driven. And always wondering if your friend is actually telling the truth. Well guess what guys, I have pics to prove it.
Everyday is just another day to me. Wake up, go to work to fix someones garage door, and then come home. But those days change when i get to walk into a garage and see a 2007 Shelby GT500 (reading 250 miles) or a Porsche Carrera 4s how bout even mint 1963 Shelby cobra.. Talking bout some BAD ASS cars. Seeing this stuff just makes my day. But one the rare occasion when the owner is on a business call and tosses you the keys and says you can move it. Now that doesn’t just happen to everyone. I have to say those days just ROCK. Talking bout being at the right house at the right time.
See this is why i love today’s technology. Camera Phones. So next time when you and your friends are talking and that “one guy” is looking at you like “Whatever Dude” Don’t forget to bust out the phone to shut his butt up. That’s what i do. Because it’s not everyday you get to see a sweet ride. And don’t worry, I know I’ll be seeing some more soon. And when i do you guys will be the first to see them.
