Day7: 2010 Shelby GT500
Day 7 with the 2010 Shelby GT500 was by far the most fun we had all week. We worked hard and tried to get lots of video and pictures of the car to show to you guys. As we talk about in the video, after tearing up the streets of Texas for a week in the GT500 we were never faced with an obstacle that the car couldn’t handle. Ford, SVT, and Shelby have made a great car with this one and we cant wait to check out the 2011 GT500 with the all aluminum block!
Till then, check out our video! › Continue reading
Review: 2010 Shelby GT500
When you think about the history of Carroll Shelby, his racing, and his cars, there is no doubt that performance Mustangs pop into mind. As a matter of fact, Shelby Mustangs have been ever improving for the past 45 years making Shelby one of the most signed names on a car in the world. Carroll graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas, Texas making him a Texas boy who’s heart never went to far from home. The Terlingua Mustang was named after the town where Shelby decided to open a ranch with Dallas friend David Witt. › Continue reading
My Date with Shelby
Today, I was galavanting about the big city with nothing better to do than waste some time. As Brittany was getting her massage, 8 months after it was gifted to her, I had some free time on my hands.
I headed over to a close and pretty new shopping center that seems to be generating a lot of busyness around my house. I wasn’t paying much attention to anything besides the clock until my friend and I walked out of our last stop. He suddenly stops and points to my left. In our close circle of friends, we love cars and often use the “follow the finger” trick.
As I look down his left hand, I saw something I didn’t expect to see for another few months: a 2010 Shelby GT500! Being the Mustang enthusiast that I claim to be, I knew the 2010 GT’s were already out and had even seen a few of them, but I had no idea the GT500’s were on the street.

This wasn’t just any GT500 though. This was one of the most beautiful colors I personally believe Ford made the mustang in: Grabber Blue. I may be wrong, but the only time I’ve ever seen this color is in the early 70’s Mach 1’s.
We quickly made my way over and snapped a couple pics while peering through the windows. We took note of the few minor changes from the previous Shelby’s and made our way back to the truck as it was parked in the closest possible parking spot to the full glass building with the owner sure right inside watching us getting way to close to their car.

Just as we pull out, we see the GB GT500 driving off and quickly roll down our windows to listen to the low, quiet grumble of the finely tuned Shelby exhaust. We quickly chase them down to get a closer look. Right as we get about as close as we can get without totally freakin’ out the driver, we both realize the same thing at the same time. This just isn’t any GT500 owner, this is quite possibly the coolest girl in the world! We sat in awe for a moment, then got back to reality and realized what we had just seen was awesome and a car I won’t soon forget…at least until I see the next one.

Everyday Car’s I get to see
OK so first things first. I have never written a blog in my life. Never thought about it till now.
You know you’ve always talked to your friends about the sweet car you just saw on the road passing you or just sitting there not being driven. And always wondering if your friend is actually telling the truth. Well guess what guys, I have pics to prove it.
Everyday is just another day to me. Wake up, go to work to fix someones garage door, and then come home. But those days change when i get to walk into a garage and see a 2007 Shelby GT500 (reading 250 miles) or a Porsche Carrera 4s how bout even mint 1963 Shelby cobra.. Talking bout some BAD ASS cars. Seeing this stuff just makes my day. But one the rare occasion when the owner is on a business call and tosses you the keys and says you can move it. Now that doesn’t just happen to everyone. I have to say those days just ROCK. Talking bout being at the right house at the right time.
See this is why i love today’s technology. Camera Phones. So next time when you and your friends are talking and that “one guy” is looking at you like “Whatever Dude” Don’t forget to bust out the phone to shut his butt up. That’s what i do. Because it’s not everyday you get to see a sweet ride. And don’t worry, I know I’ll be seeing some more soon. And when i do you guys will be the first to see them.
