My Top 10 Cars at Frankfurt:

Frankfurt Germany

Frankfurt Germany

The International Motor Show or (IAA) is the world’s largest motor show and is held in Frankfurt Germany. The very first show was in 1897 in a small hotel in Berlin. Since then the show has grown with attendance almost reaching the one million mark. All the big and small manufacturers of the world bring their best and most advanced technology and design to Frankfurt to show to the automotive world.

I know this is a Texas car blog and Frankfurt is a long ways away from Texas and many of the cars displayed there will never see our shoreline. But bear with me as I go through my top picks from the Frankfurt Motor Show.  This is an enthusiast site, so I hope you enjoy the cars as much as I do.

A Few Rare Treasures

Alright world…here goes my first blog!

I’ve been lucky enough to live and work around Motor Sport Ranch in Cresson, TX.  Being able to drive through there on a daily basis has definitely opened my eyes to the exotic side of cars. Lamborghini, Ferrari, Audi, and Lotus are just a few exotics that are out there most every weekend.

The other day a friend and I were cruising through and saw some truly rare beauties…

Spyker C8- at the time I didn’t realize how truly rare this car was.  When I got home I looked it up and as of 2008 they had only made 200 of them and only 60… yes 60 were in North America.

Ariel Atom- maybe not as rare as a C8 but it is for sure just as badass.  A handcrafted speed machine with only a skeleton for a body. 0-60 under 3 seconds, 0-100 under 11 seconds!!

Caterham Superlight R500- Top Gear car of the year.  I was amazed at how many of these were at the track that day.  They are so light and quick, it’s just a fun car to watch.

Well there are a few exotics I was shocked to see in little ol’ Cresson, TX.  I drive thru everyday during my commute to work so I will no doubt see some more of these rare gems.

Keep ya posted.
