IN MEMORY OF HER ROYAL MAJESTY:
The 7th Annual Red River
European Car and Motorcycle Show
If there’s a better time for car and bike enthusiasts to get together, I’m not sure when it would be. And if a car or bike enthusiast, there are few better things to be enthusiastic about than the Brits. Whether your Triumph sits on two wheels or four, your Austin enjoys a hyphen (Austin-Healey) or an oil leak, or your MG recalls Morris Garages or simply a wrench named Morris, there’s a lot to like in the variety offered by the British motor car industry.
That variety, of course, is enhanced by the ‘European’ in the title, and ‘motorcycle’ constituting more than simply an addendum. Whether a pre-war Velocette or postwar Vincent, attendees are sure to find something within their established enthusiasms, or a brand with which to launch an all-new enthusiasm. Europeans, of course, run the gamut, from Abarth and Alfa to Volvo and VW. It is a smorgasbord (Saab?) of outstanding variety.
The show opens at 10:00 a.m. this Saturday, October 1st at the Tarrant County College (South Campus). The campus is located at 5301 Campus Drive in Fort Worth. The weather is great, and for car and bike enthusiasts needing an excuse to go somewhere, the host for the event – the Red River Triumph Club – provides the answer.
