2025 Jeep Wagoneer S Limited 4XE – Quick Drive at the Texas Truck Rodeo
Jeep showed up to the Texas Truck Rodeo with something I didn’t even know existed — the all-new 2025 Wagoneer S Limited 4XE. It’s Jeep’s first all-electric SUV, and while the Truck Rodeo’s mostly about off-road dirt, I was more than happy to get this one on the road.
Underneath, it rides on the new STLA Large platform with dual electric motors making 500 horsepower and 520 lb-ft of torque. It feels every bit of it, rocketing forward with that signature EV instant torque. Range is rated at about 294 miles, and with DC fast charging, you can get from 20 to 80 percent in just over 20 minutes.
Inside, the Wagoneer S mixes quiet refinement with Jeep toughness. A big touchscreen running Uconnect 5, a panoramic roof, and high-quality materials make it feel right at home among luxury EVs. It’s the kind of cabin you actually want to spend time in — even if you’re not crawling rocks.
On the road near Eagles Canyon Raceway, it drove great — smooth, confident, and fast. And while this wasn’t the place to test its off-road chops, the Selec-Terrain system and Jeep heritage are still baked in.
Jeep’s calling it “Beautiful Things Can Still Get Dirty,” and that about sums it up. The Wagoneer S proves electric can still feel like a Jeep — even when it’s whisper quiet.
