A transportation study by a watchdog group has compiled a list of small Texas cities with a high number of speeding tickets. Their records state that Westlake is the number one city in the state for the most speeding ticket revenue per resident. Other cities to watch for are Pantego, Dalworthington Gardens, Wilmer, Ferris, and Alvarado; so be sure to be extra cautious when driving the major highways in those cities.
Of course officials deny setting up “speed traps” and state that tickets help cut fatalities in their cities. Cambre stays true to his study saying that he thinks his data is good to know and people should draw their own conclusions when entering these cities. We'll agree that most small cities that need the extra revenue do what they can to get people speeding, but if your breaking the law and you get caught then you deserve the ticket.
