#9 the Ariel Atom

Any minimalist will tell you, there is beauty in less. When you get less, you really get more. At least, that’s the case when it comes to the Ariel Atom. The beauty in the Atom is seeing the structure of the car; seeing its components doing what they are made to do; seeing the symphony of parts allowing you to hit your mark. The ingenious part of the Atom is its power to weight ratio and its minimalist approach to a sports car. With a 2.0 liter engine, you wouldn’t expect to hear that this car can do 0-60 in 2.7 seconds, a feat that most half million dollar supercars can’t claim. Even Jeremy Clarkson said, “If you want to know how a car should feel, you must drive Atom.”

As a pure track car, we think that this is about as fun as it gets. As a road car, well I hope you’re not driving far.
