It’s Electric – Quick Drive in the 2022 Nissan Leaf

The Leaf has been around since 2010 and I’ve had the opportunity to drive it a few times including keeping it for a full week and shooting a full review with it. Over the years it’s grown in size and refinement. This Leaf now looks more like the rest of Nissan’s lineup with that signature grille and modern headlights. Your trim optiosn are an S, SV, S Plus, SV Plus, and SL Plus. You can get either a 40 KWh battery or a 62 KWh one. That 40 KWh battery gives you a range of 149 miles and the 62 kWh battery gives you 226 mines. Your MPGe is rated at 123 or 114 – a number I still don’t really understand.

Overall I really like what Nissan has done with the Leaf and how they’ve kept it competitive with the growing competition. I think the exterior design is as good as it’s ever been and the interior is real quality. If you’re just diving into the electric car market and you don’t have that far to drive day to day, I think the Leaf is definitely a great option to look at.
