Last week the worst thing that could happen did when Richard Holt took to the air strip in his twin-turbo Lamborghini Gallardo. With somewhere between 1500 and 1900 horsepower the monster Gallardo passed the mile mark at 235 mph. Then it all went wrong.

Last week, the worst thing that could happen did when Richard Holt took to the air strip in his twin-turbo Lamborghini Gallardo. With somewhere between 1500 and 1900 horsepower, the monster Gallardo passed the mile mark at 235 mph. Then it all went wrong. The driver was brought to the local hospital and released in good condition. It just goes to show you even in a controlled environment like this, anything can happen.
