The all-new 2018 Hyundai Kona review from Hawaii

Hyundai flew a handful of journalists – including myself – to Hawaii to drive their all-new 2018 Hyundai Kona. Hawaii was a great location, not just because it’s paradise and not just because of the name Kona, but because this island has some of the craziest terrain I’ve ever seen. One minute you may be driving down a long, straight and flat road, the next you’ll be heading through tall trees winding through the landscape, then a landscape of beautiful green rolling hills, and then on to the mountains and high elevation changes. All-in-all this small crossover handled it all quite well. The 1.6-liter turbocharged engine and all-wheel-drive really shine here, features many – if not most – of the competition just doesn’t offer.
