The Barrett-Jackson Auction Comes to Houston: HEY BIDDER BIDDER

The Barrett-Jackson Auction Comes to Houston

The Barrett-Jackson Auction rolled back into Houston last week and, if you’ve never been, it’s a spectacle worth the price of admission.  I wasn’t sure what to expect when I went to their inaugural Texas show last year, but I couldn’t wait to get back to it this year.  It’s a vintage car show and auction where you can get up close and bid on cars that you might easily afford to buy; it’s also where you can see vehicles that go for astronomical final bids.  If you’re into cars you’ll be talking about the experience for a long time.

There are cars that will take you back to your youth, regardless of your age.  There are barn finds, cars and trucks restored to stock and many resto-mods with powertrains ready to roar down the highway.  They are all road-worthy, and anyone with the means can bid once the cars come before the auctioneer’s gavel.  It’s a hoot to watch the bidding wars. The last day usually features vehicles that fetch incredible prices – and those bids will astonish you.

There’s plenty of stuff going on to keep the entire family entertained, including ride-and-drives in some glorious and powerful sports cars. These ride-and-drive cars are the ones you see racing down Highway 69 in the dead of night. No one will be bored.
