2 Years of Reviews by txGarage
Today is our 2 year anniversary of reviewing cars at txGarage, and we wanted to treat you guys to something special. Last month, we had the opportunity to attend an event held by the Texas Auto Writers Association called the Texas Auto Roundup. We, alongside many in the automotive journalism field here in Texas, had the chance to mingle with the big-wigs from the manufactures and also drive a big range of cars. The event was held at Texas Motor Speedway and we were able to drive the cars around the infield track and out around the private roads that interconnect the parking lots around TMS. This was a great chance to drive some cars we wouldn’t normally get to review and showcase them in track conditions as well as everyday road conditions. Unfortunately, the weather was not kind to us and didn’t give us optimal track conditions, but we managed to get the most out of every car we drove.

For the next few weeks, we’ll be posting a “quick drive” review every day till we get through all the great cars we drove. We’ll let you know what we think about the cars, and what we thought about the way they handled the conditions we faced. I hope you all enjoy our thoughts and find some of what we found out useful. Look for the first one to hit today; hint it won 2011 Performance Car of Texas.
Thanks for sticking with us and continuing to give us your feedback. Can’t wait to be writing our 5 year or 10 year anniversary posts!
