Chevrolet at the 2014 State Fair of Texas
It’s our privilege to be able to attend the media preview day of the State Fair of Texas every year and we love bringing our readers as much information we can about what’s new and what’s cool. Well it’s that time of the year once again! Here’s a rundown of what we saw and what you should check out. « back to list
Although the all new Colorado was at the State Fair, and worth going to check out, the people at Chevrolet didn’t spend much time focusing on it. What they did focus on was their continued support for Texas and our Arlington, Texas assembly plant that produces all of GM’s big SUVs. That plant is celebrating it’s 60th year producing over 10-million vehicles.
More Texas focus also goes toward the Tahoe and Suburban lines adding a Texas Edition much like those offered in the Silverado. This package starts off as an LT or LTZ trim and adds the Max trailering package which includes a 3.42 axle ratio and trailer brake controller in addition to the standard hitch receiver and seven-wire harness. Next they add on 20-inch polished aluminum wheels for LT models while LTZ models get 22-inch premium painted aluminum wheels. You also get the additional 9-month subscription to SiriusXM satellite radio and Navigation added to LT models. This is a pretty good offering on what’s already a great SUV. Be sure to check out our review and special vacation road test of the Suburban and Tahoe.
