It’s HERE! the 2021 Mazda 3 Turbo – First Drive
In this video, we’re driving the 2021 Mazda 3 with the newly equipped SkyActiv-G Turbocharged engine. Obviously, new for 2021 is the 2.5-liter turbocharged engine as an option for the Mazda3 sedan and hatchback. This engine puts out 250-horsepower and 320 lb. ft. of torque while running on premium (93-octane) fuel. You can still run it on regular (87-octane) as well but you’ll be looking at 227-hp and 310 lb. ft. of torque. The turbo cars are only offered in all-wheel-drive with Mazda’s i-Active AWD system. Your only transmission option is a Skyactive-Drive 6-speed automatic, the manual is not offered here. The redline of the turbo engine is 6,300 rpm although the driving characteristics will have you shifting long before that to stay in the torque band.
We definitely go over much more with this new Mazda3 in the video above so be sure and check out that video and if you enjoy, leave a thumbs-up! Be sure and subscribe to us over at YouTube so we can continue to grow there and if you have any question or comments be sure to leave them on the video itself. Thanks for watching.
