SHOW ME YOUR SHOWS!

HOUSTON gets the wheels rolling this year when its Houston Auto Show returns to the NRG Center (May 19-23, 2021); that’s just over a month away, and we can’t wait. Houston normally shows up on the calendar in January. But this year is different. Everywhere. We’re happy just to see it appear. Houston was the last show before the pandemic began, and it looks like it will be the first show to return in 2021.

According to the event organizers, “The Summer edition of the Houston Auto Show presents a curated(!) collection of manufacturers with the latest vehicles of the automotive world. The 38th event continues to allow attendees to see, touch, drive and experience the industry’s greatest offerings with plenty of room to roam.” For more details on the Houston Auto Show go to: https://www.houstonautoshow.com/

DALLAS AND FORT WORTH will combine their auto shows for 2021 and call it the North Texas Auto Show, when they pick up (the pun was, I think, intended – ed.) the pace at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas (June  24-27, 2021). Details are still being finalized, but we will bring them to you as they become available. For now, just mark your calendar and save the dates. THE STATE FAIR OF TEXAS, which includes The Texas Auto Show, is scheduled into its usual time slot this year (September 24 – October 17, 2021), right at the beginning of fall. It will likely still be hot here then, but summer will be in the rearview mirror and manufacturers will be looking through the windshield to the future. If history is any guide, truck manufacturers will go all out displaying their latest offerings high into the sky.  This show is a favorite of mine because it has everything I like. Trucks. Big Tex. Great Food. And plenty of it. Plus, fireworks show with the State Fair in the background. Yee Haa, Texas! For more details on the Texas Auto Show: https://texasautoshow.bigtex.com/

THE ALAMO CITY finishes the 2021 schedule when the San Antonio Auto and Truck Show returns to San Antonio’s Henry B. González Convention Center from November 12-14. November in San Antonio has become a tradition, and we love traditions. Cars. Trucks. Gondolas. The Riverwalk. Margaritas. Who could ask for more? And a final note: It’s our hope and intention to attend each and every one of these shows and bring you coverage. That’s what we love to do. But if these shows come to your part of Texas, get in the car or truck, pull on your boots, grab your hat, and head on down to see it all in person, because it’s always better in person.

That’s it for now, Cowboys and Cowgirls, but stay tuned – we’ll keep you posted!
