Mazda Introduces 2025 CX-50 with New Hybrid Model and Advanced Tech

As we gear up for an exciting summer, Mazda has announced the latest updates to the 2025 Mazda CX-50, revealed today on July 9th. This announcement brings a host of new features and enhancements to one of Mazda’s most dependable crossover SUVs, catering to the adventurous and active lifestyles of its customers.

Introducing the CX-50 Hybrid

The highlight of the 2025 lineup is the all-new CX-50 Hybrid, expanding Mazda’s electrified offerings in North America. The hybrid model promises an EPA estimated 38 mpg combined, significantly improving fuel efficiency and range. This variant is designed to deliver Mazda’s renowned driving dynamics while allowing drivers to embark on longer journeys with fewer stops for refueling.

Enhanced Comfort and Convenience

Mazda has also enhanced the CX-50 Turbo Meridian models, adding new comfort and convenience features to elevate the driving experience. The 2025 CX-50 lineup receives upgrades across all models, including improvements to the i-ACTIVSENSE safety features and driver assistance technology. These enhancements ensure that the CX-50 remains a top choice for those seeking both safety and adventure.

Powertrain Options and Pricing

The 2025 Mazda CX-50 is available in ten packages across three powertrain choices, all featuring standard all-wheel drive (AWD). The CX-50 2.5 S models come with a Skyactiv-G 2.5L naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine, now with improved fuel efficiency. The new CX-50 Hybrid, built around the Toyota Hybrid System (THS), offers a blend of performance and efficiency, while the 2.5 Turbo models deliver robust power and towing capabilities.

Standard and Premium Features

Mazda continues to prioritize safety and technology, with all 2025 CX-50 models benefiting from enhanced driver assistance features. New additions include Alexa Built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto integration, making the driving experience more connected and convenient. Premium models boast luxurious touches like a power-sliding panoramic moonroof, Bose® premium audio system, and ventilated front seats.

Excitement for the Future

As a dedicated automotive enthusiast and writer for TXGarage, I am thrilled by these updates to the Mazda CX-50. The introduction of the hybrid variant and the array of new features make this crossover SUV even more appealing. I am eagerly looking forward to getting behind the wheel of the 2025 CX-50 and experiencing these enhancements firsthand. Stay tuned for my in-depth review once I have the opportunity to drive this exciting new model.

The 2025 Mazda CX-50 models will begin arriving in dealerships next month, with the hybrid models expected to arrive in late 2024. For more information, visit MazdaUSA.com.
