2025 Toyota Crown Signia Limited – A Crown for Crossover Buyers

Toyota is expanding its premium Crown lineup with an all-new body style for 2025 — the Crown Signia, a sleek, upscale crossover that blends SUV versatility with sedan-like comfort. Designed as a more stylish and luxurious alternative to traditional two-row crossovers, the Crown Signia steps in as a unique offering for those who want something between a Highlander and a Lexus RX. Offered exclusively as a hybrid and built with comfort and refinement in mind, the 2025 Toyota Crown Signia Limited stands out with premium finishes, smart technology, and confident performance.

A Bold New Take on the Crossover

The 2025 Crown Signia takes design cues from its sedan sibling but stretches them into a sculpted crossover shape with a fastback-style roofline, slim LED lighting, and bold proportions. It wears Toyota’s premium design language with confidence, featuring a unique front fascia, rich paint options, and large alloy wheels — giving it a look that sits above the RAV4 and Highlander in both presence and execution.

In Limited trim, you get standout exterior details like 21-inch alloy wheels, chrome accents, panoramic glass roof, and power liftgate, giving the Signia an upscale look that leans more luxury than mainstream.

Powertrain and Performance

Like the Crown sedan, the Signia skips gas-only options in favor of Toyota’s hybrid powertrain. Under the hood of the Crown Signia Limited is:

  • 2.5-liter 4-cylinder hybrid system
  • 236 combined horsepower
  • Electronic Continuously Variable Transmission (eCVT)
  • Electronic All-Wheel Drive (standard)
  • Estimated 36 MPG combined

While not a performance-focused vehicle, the Crown Signia offers smooth acceleration and confident highway cruising, with instant torque from the electric motors and the benefit of standard all-wheel drive for added traction.

Interior Comfort and Tech

Inside, the Crown Signia delivers a more refined experience than most other Toyota crossovers. In Limited trim, the cabin is filled with high-end materials, soft-touch surfaces, and thoughtful details. There’s generous room for five passengers and ample cargo space, especially with the second row folded flat.

Key interior features include:

  • 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster
  • 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto
  • Heated and ventilated front seats
  • Heated rear seats
  • Digital rearview mirror
  • Advanced driver assistance with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0
  • Premium JBL audio system
  • Wireless phone charging and USB-C connectivity

Much like the sedan version, the layout is clean and functional, with a strong emphasis on technology and a minimalist luxury vibe.

Pricing and Trim Levels

The Crown Signia will launch with two trims:

  • XLE – Estimated starting around $43,000
  • Limited – Estimated around $48,000–$50,000

With Toyota aiming this more at premium buyers, the Signia is positioned above the Venza and on par with entry-level luxury crossovers — but without jumping into Lexus territory.

First Drive Impressions at the Texas Auto Roundup

At the 2025 Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA) Texas Auto Roundup, I had my first opportunity to drive the 2025 Toyota Crown Signia Limited, and it definitely lives up to its promise as a premium alternative in the crossover space. I’ve driven the Crown sedan several times, and the Signia carries over much of that smooth ride and refined interior feel. It doesn’t feel quite as punchy as the sedan — likely due to the added weight — but it’s still more than adequate for daily driving and long road trips. If you’re looking for a stylish, high-riding hybrid that doesn’t scream “mainstream SUV,” the Crown Signia Limited is worth a serious look. Check out my video from the event for a full breakdown of my impressions and how it compares to other crossovers on the market today.
