Hennessey MaxBoost 435 w/video

Hennessey MaxBoost 435
Last week, Toby reviewed for us the 2010 Lincoln MKS with the EcoBoost and AWD, and we all agree that we loved this car. This week Hennessey Performance, out of Houston, Texas, has revealed their own incarnation of the 2010 MKS EcoBoost calling it their MaxBoost 435. What Hennessey has done here is tinker with the engine management software, added their own cat-back exhaust, dual cold air induction system, and a polished intercooler piping upgrade. All this results in, yeah you guessed it, 435 hp and 405 lb-ft of torque pushing this heavy luxury sedan from a standstill to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and takes only 13 seconds to hit 106 and cross a quarter mile mark. These upgrades make the MKS comparable in power to big shots like the BMW M5 and Maserati Quattroporte, but without suspension or braking upgrades you better be going in a strait line. › Continue reading

When shopping for a luxury sedan, there are many options to choose from and depending on exactly what you want to get out of the car in terms of driving experience, there are many options to weigh. If you want a slushy, detached ride that will whisk you away in comfort, you can find that. If you want a sharp handling ride with power that could keep up with the better sports cars out there, you can find that too. If you’re looking for a car that will bathe you in luxury and technology, there are many options for that as well. › Continue reading
Review: 2010 Buick Enclave
When I was young, I bought some of those x-ray glasses out of the back of a magazine. Although my parents tried to warn me, I insisted that they would work, plus they looked really cool. After weeks of waiting, checking the mail every day when I got home from school, the package finally showed up. I rushed to my room and ripped open the box throwing all the packing all over my room. As I pulled the glasses out and put them on my face, I felt an immediate sense of dissatisfaction. I ran around the house looking at everything I could thinking they have to work, yet they wouldn’t look through a thing. Not only did they not work as advertised, they were also cheaply made and broke within the first few days of having them. It has been a long time since I’ve felt this kind of dissatisfaction, that is until this week. › Continue reading
Review: 2010 Chevrolet Equinox
Here in Dallas, Texas, as well with many other places around the US, we hit a record with snow fall this past week. It was easily the most snow I have ever seen in my life with about a foot of snow that fell within a twenty-four hour period. I’ve driven in ice and little snow before and it gets harry and scary around Texas when it happens, mainly because no one knows what to do or how to drive in it. The snow gave us the opportunity to really wring this thing out and put it to the test. Luckily we had the AWD 3.0 Liter 2010 Equinox LTZ. › Continue reading

New from Hennessey: VelociRaptor 500
The Boys at Hennessey must be getting bored with 1,000 horsepower monster cars because today they announced their new monster truck, the VelociRaptor 500. That’s right, Hennessey Performance has taken a Ford F150 Raptor and bolted a Whipple supercharger on the already stout 5.4 liter V8.
