Jeep at the 2014 State Fair of Texas

It’s our privilege to be able to attend the media preview day of the State Fair of Texas every year and we love bringing our readers as much information we can about what’s new and what’s cool. Jeep was able to hit everyone with a big surprise showing up to the State Fair with their all new Renegade. This is a jeep jumping into the small sport-utility market with some pure-Jeep styling. Jeep is yet another brand that is doing great here in Texas and go figure that the Grand Cherokee has been voted SUV of Texas for 3-years in a row, the Wrangler has won mid-sized SUV of Texas, and we think the Cherokee is the best contender for compact SUV of Texas this year.

More on the Renegade – and hopefully we’ll be able to get behind the wheel soon enough – Jeep says it will have best-in-class off-road capability with the Trailhawk model’s and the front and rear fascias having aggressive approach and departure angles. The exterior design has many cues of the brands heritage with fresh and youthful touches. Inside takes a “Tek-Tonic” design theme with intersections of soft and tactile forms for rugged and functional details. A vehicle like this would do well in the city but could also be packed down with equipment for camping and off roading enthusiasts.
