The second day of driving is all wrapped up as we made time to jump into all the great vehicles we were not able to yesterday. One of the big highlights from today was the all-new Volvo XC90 which we’ll be reviewing soon enough to explain why it really blew us away. Others include the Lincoln MKX, Mazda CX-3, and Jeep Renegade. We’ll have a full wrap up for you soon and winners of The Truck of Texas, SUV of Texas, CUV of Texas, and Truck Line of Texas will be announced on Tuesday Oct, 13th.

Today was day 1 of driving during the Truck Rodeo event. Collectively we were able to jump into a ton of Trucks and SUVs and collectively we had a blast! On road or off, the vehicles have been great to drive and we’re extremely excited about bringing our readers in on the experience. It’s Wednesday, Oct. 7th and we’re all checked into the Drury Hotel in norther San Antonio getting settled in and glad-handing with other auto writers and representatives from 20 manufacturers. We also received our list of trucks, SUVs and crossovers that will be out at the ranch and their respective categories. Really looking forward to some seat time tomorrow!
Although I’m excited for everything, I’ll list – in no particular order – some key highlights I’ll really be looking forward to. There will also be a few vehicles that no other media in the country has yet to drive including the all-new Nissan Titan.

It’s that time again! The txGarage crew is getting packed and ready to head down to the Knibbe Ranch once again for our annual Truck Rodeo where we’ll meet up with other members of the Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA) to drive all the new trucks and SUVs available on the market today. The intent of the Rodeo is to name the Truck of Texas and really get a chance to drive a lot of vehicles back-to-back and to figure out what handles real Texas conditions the best. We always enjoy the event and we’ll have a lot news and new reviews coming shortly after so stay tuned. We’ll also be posting on social media, so if you’re into that be sure to follow us on Instagram and Twitter.
