2017 MMCOA Meet, Paris TX
Between the P-51 Mustang and Ford’s Mustang, made famous in the ’60s and still well-regarded today, was the Mustang motorcycle, a product of postwar optimism and – to a certain extent – postwar pessimism. Manufactured by the Gladden Products Corporation in Glendale, CA between 1946 and 1965, for those growing up in the ’50s and ’60s it was what we most wanted; until, of course, Honda and Yamaha came along. Mustang enthusiasts hold a national get-together once a year, and contributor Paul Valentine traveled to Paris (Texas) to capture Mustangs – and their collective moment.
