BACK IN THE SADDLE

After a two-year absence it was great to once again attend the 33rd Annual Yellow Rose Classic, hosted by the North Texas Mustang Club. This year’s annual Classic was sponsored by AER Manufacturing, CBS Texas and the Texas Ford Dealers Advertising Fund. The club works throughout the year to support many charitable organizations in the DFW area, and profits from the Yellow Rose Classic are used to support Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. 

The variety of vehicles at the Yellow Rose covers many years and models of Ford and Lincoln vehicles. You were able to see a brand-new customized Bronco, an F-150 Electric Lighting, a Falcon station wagon with wood trim, and a variety of pickup trucks, including an SVT Lightning. And for T-Bird enthusiasts early Thunderbirds were shown next to the latest edition of the Big ‘Bird. 

Also at the Classic was a display of neon signs, some large and crated ready for sale. It was a great way to spend the day, even in the heat of the moment!
